NCEL Takes Part the 19th version of "Online Educa Berlin"- Technology –based Learning and Training

   The Ministry of Higher Education represented by the NCeL participated at the 19th version of the annual international conference  of "Online Educa Berlin" being held during Dec. 4 – 6, 2013, with a number of officials, diplomats and intellectuals.

    The delegation at the NCeL section in exhibition accompanying  the conference includes 38 participants from NCeL, the cultural mission at the Saudi embassy to Germany, a number of Saudi universities, as well as the Saudi Digital Library, and some students studying at the Federal Republic of Germany.

   The Ministry of Higher Education delegation to  Online Educa Berlin will present 4 scientific papers within the scientific program  of the conference. His excellency, Prof. Mohammed Abdulaziz Alohali, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Educational Affairs, has participated as a keynote speaker at the conference, while the GM of NCeL Dr. Abdullah Almegren as will present a paper entitled: "The Global Challenge of adopting open educational resources (OER): A Saudi perspective". There is also another paper entitled "social Media in Higher Education : a proposed model for engaging students in active learning", will be presented by Dr. Bader Alsaleh and Dr. Nora Hazzani of King Saud University", while Mrs. Sarah Mazen will present analysis on "learning from private data to open associated educational data".

     NCeL section at the exhibition includes three major parts offering the latest experiences in e-Learning and distance education, it also provides an introduction on the center's activities and role in the e-Learning processes in Saudi Arabia.
