NCeL participated at the Berlin 19th Version of Technology-based Education and Training Conference

The National Center for e-Learning and Distance Learning NCeL has concluded today its  participation  at the 19th version of the international Conference on Technology-based Education and Training, "Online Edcuca Berlin", which was organized in Berlin, Germany during the period December 4 – 6,  2013. NCeL participation at the conference has attracted a significant number of people interested in e-Learning in addition to companies specialized in e-Learning and education sectors .

NCeL delegation presented 4 papers, including  a keynote  speech by Prof. Mohammed  Alohali, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Educational Affairs and a paper presented by Dr. Abdullah Almegren GM of NCeL  entitled "The global Challenge for adopting Open Education Resource (OER): A Saudi  Perspective.

The conference also included a pavilion for NCeL at the exhibition accompanying the conference, which attracted a significant presence of visitors. The NCeL pavilion presented the latest experiences in e-Learning and distance education, and introduced NCeL, its activities and role at the e-Learning process in the Kingdom. The Saudi delegation to the conference including some NCeL staff, delegates from some Saudi universities and the Saudi Digital Library, in addition to the Saudi cultural attaché to Germany and Saudi students studying in Germany also highlighted the role of Saudi Arabia in supporting higher education and higher education institutions.
