NCeL is launching 19 specialized training courses during the next 3 months. Training will be carried out by a number of professional e-learning and distance education experts from within and outside Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Abdullah Almegren, NCeL GM and adviser at the Ministry of Higher Education stated that 7 of the 19 training courses are allocated for male trainees and 12 for females. The targeted audience of the courses are faculty members in Saudi universities and researchers interested in e-learning technologies.
"the center has arranged that courses will be carried out by specialists on e-Learning and distance education, in order to help trainees to contribute in developing education and improve their own performance" added Dr. Almegren, noting to the currently witnessed boom of e-Learning in the Kingdom that calls us to do more effort to invest in this promising field. Dr. Almegren also pointed out that organizing such courses will definitely contribute to the promotion of e-Learning and distance education in the community, calling on everyone to register and book their seats through the website www.elc.edu.sa.
It is worth mentioning that training courses are focus on using social media, Facebook and Twitter in education, as well as cloud computing applications in education, applications and software of iPad content in teaching, e-tests creation tools, designing and production of educational info graphics and designing an interactive lesson using Course Lab, and other courses.
