HRH Prince Salman is a statesman who discharges his duties with tact and great understanding

Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Angari,  has described
Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud as a statesman who discharges his duties with tact and great understanding.

The minister made this observation while greeting Prince Salman on the occasion of
his appointment as crown prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

In a press statement, Dr. Al-Angari said: "His Royal Highness Prince Salman is a
statesman who exercises his duties with tact and a sense of fair play. By Allah’s
guidance, he will be the right-hand man to our leader, Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud."

He added: "Prince Salman is a  visionary, who looks beyond the horizon, as he gets
down to the nitty-gritty of a problem. He is a highly cultured person and an
expert on the history of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf."

The minister said that when Prince Salman was appointed Governor of Riyadh in
1970,  it was  a walled city surrounded by the sprawling desert.  His forward-
looking vision and his unique ability to convert a challenge into an opportunity
helped him  overcome the hurdles along the way and transform  Riyadh from a small
township into a metropolis with a magnetic pull  for people from around the world.

Thanks to his enlightened leadership, he could harness the potential of those
working under him, with the result evident from the air and on the ground, as the
aircraft hits the runway. The aura of splendor projected by KKIA is symbolic of
the growth and development of Riyadh as the Kingdom's capital with an area of
3,000 and a  population of around seven million.

Al-Angari also paid tributes to  Prince Salman for his untiring efforts to promote
higher education, citing his allocation of the best locations in the capital for
the three universities, besides his constant follow-up on  related matters,
underling his commitment to excellence.

The Minister prayed to God Almighty to preserve this country under the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince
in the interest of national  security, safety, stability and continued progress on
all fronts.
